I will be giving a talk based on my research so far on the energiø/’energy island’ at Aarhus University’s Centre for Science Studies Colloquium. The talk is called “Terrains of Environmental Speculation: The ‘Energy Island’ as Model of Transitional Futures.” I will be demonstratively describing the energy island as an environmental media apparatus and as what I call a ‘terrain of speculation.’ (I am also very grateful for the head of the Centre for generously giving me a copy of his PhD dissertation on the development of the Danish wind turbine industry!)
