Recently, my article “Revisiting Jane Jacobs’ Urban Complexity in Global Sustainable City Discourse,” was published in Architecture_MPS, the home journal of Architecture_Media_Politics_Society (UCL Press). The article examines the figural role that American urbanist Jane Jacobs and her idea of urban complexity play in global sustainable city discourse — the discourse that articulates the notion of the city as a sustainable evolutionary complex system that is said to be humanity’s best hope for solving the global ecological crisis of our contemporary times.
The article is published as part of the issue “Socio-urban Critiques and the New Normal” (edited by Dr Maciel Stasiowski).
